Welcome! I'm honored you've chosen to visit my author's page.
I'm retired from the full-time Christian ministry, having served beside my husband, Dee, for more than twenty-five years. We served together in Louisianna, Oklahoma, and Texas.
I felt called to write years before it became physically possible. The jobs of church pianist, praise-and-worship co-leader, music writer, and just plain pastor's wife kept me busier than a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs - as they say here in East Texas!
Mind you, I'm not complaining. It was this time spent serving God's people that gave me insight into the problems encountered by folks other than myself. I was privileged to experience, first hand, spirtual battles between our Lord and the Evil One. And to glory in watching God working His redeeming miracles in so many lives. And all that time, God was preparing me to write stories that, prayerfully, will glorify Him.
Since taking up the task, I've learned to appreciate the extreme value of a Godly and talented editor and proof-reader. It's my desire to present to you a product that lives up to your expectations, and is pleasing to God.
If I can write a story entertaining enough to keep my readers turning the pages, yet scriptural enough to make them aware the Enemy seeks to devour them - and Jesus is their refuge - then I've accomplished what I think God has called me to do.
Upon retiring, Dee and I moved to the East Texas Piney woods, where we live on a modest small acre spread with our dog, Sarah, and many species of flora and fauna.
I enjoy the peace and quiet of country-living, which enables me to write my novels. But my son, Billy, lives a stone's throw away, and it's only a ten minute drive to his daughter, Candace, and her family.
I've made some wonderful friends via the internet, and met so many beautiful people who, like me, feel the call to share what God has given them with the world. So, you see, I have the best of all worlds.
And I've done nothing to earn these blessings.
Isn't God awesome?
